Hello VMware community.
Need a help from you. I have configured bios of a physical system to connect to an iSCSI target. I want to install ESX 5.5i on the iSCSI target and boot the physical system from it. I have changed the boot order and made the iBFT enabled NIC first and CDROM second. As I want to install ESX 5.5 on iSCSI target , i have set the "bootToiSCSI " to disabled. During boot i am able to connect to iSCSI target . Getting message "Login to 1st iSCSI target succeeded" . After this system is going to boot from CDROM but during installation it is not listing iSCSI target lun as a candidate disk for installation. Owing to this I am not able to install ESX 5.5 on iSCSI lun.
Could you please help me in figuring out what is wrong? it is very strange that iSCSI lun discovery/login succeed from bios but i am not able to get the iSCSI lun listed for installation. I would really appreciate any help/pointer provided by you.
